Kom pa mig sjalv imorse nar jag stod och fixade vafflor med frusen frukt till frukost at Dhara med att jag sjong pa den har. Hon tyckte att jag var konstigt och sade "you can't sing if i'm not singing". Hon ar lite bitter pa morgon kvisten. Sprang ner till datorn och kollade upp videon. Nu delar jag den med er!

A shout out to my ex-Coor collegues!

Hope all is well. I know that grey has become the more occuring color on the heads now that I've left. Not Timon though...he doesn't have any. So tuck your bellies in, be nice to mrs. Crouches (be sure to break next time you see a car coming at you), dont dye your hair, wax your chests (for your important wives), and you might end up being one of the models for Victoria Secret next season. haha not!
Soon the evil bitch has to change the sign to evil wife on the office door. Also on the answering machine at your house (with a witches voice) record the following "Welcome to the Broddell house of witches and wizards, please leave a trace of your blood and adress".
Apart from all that. Im missing you guys and hoping that you still can blow off steam in the gym, copying room or the bathroom =)
Half heartedly service minded greetings from afar

Usa is lost, like Columbus
On sunday (a long time ago) there was the monthly au pair meeting. This time (my first time) there was a scavanger picture hunt downtown Seattle. I got into town early to read my alst pages of my book. Walked into starbucks ordered venti-soy-latte-with-sugarfreehazelnut-syrop-please. And a bananabread to go with it. Sat down opened my bag and started weeping. Book is still at home, right next to my bed. I get up and buy the biggest newpaper I'ver ever seen. The Seattle Times. I only read the sports and the comics section though. It still took me like 45 minutes though.

Here are some pictures from the scavanger hunt with the scandinavian group. Good times!

On saturday last week Helen (norska tjejen pa bilden) took me to the Huskies game agains't USC. IT WAS AWESOME! I couldn't stay the whole game because I needed to go back home to start working at 16. It's not proffesional football but its college football. (American football and not football like Soccer that we play in the rest of the world)
Thanks for the invite Helen!

Sic vis pacem, para bellum
No training and using painkillers. Whats going on and what happened to my life? No don't worry mamma, I am doing great. Only a few blemishes along the way and I like to complain =) So the doctors that I share my mansion with think I should keep on eating the ibuprofen a few days and not do any training since my neck hurts. They don't think it is anything serious just a strained muscle. I went to Starbucks again this morning after sleeping in and waking up late for work. Go there and stress down a little. Then I realized that I don't really have time to sit around and do this when I should apply for a state drivers licence and for some courses. I got to the drivers place and left after 65.7 sec as there were close to a MILLION people in my line and like none in the others. Ill go back one morning right when they open the doors instead. Soon.
Yeah I stayed at home with Dhara yesterday, which surely was nice but straining. The pain from neck+head wasn't really helping out. And I wasn't one her "list" even when I made her waffles with lavender honey =(
Here's a song that has been playing a few times lately. Mostly from good times, especially from GC and Nilo! Always brings me back to those awesome 4weeks I had with everyone there =)

VAB

Lemur's aren't as fun as we tend to think
Madison Beach for a dip

We had a couple of wonderful hours down by the beach on saturday. Jordan came to join us for a bit then we went over to Bing's and had a late lunch, to then finish the day over in Madisonpark where we swung on the zipline.
After that I got my self ready for a night out and walked (!) all the way downtown to meet with Helen. She in a Norsk au pair and one who is +21. Which means that I have found myself a buddy to go out and have a few drinks with. This is how much fun I had....

Patience is a virtue I don't have time for

Rain. brown leaves. dark. it's autumn around the corner
I've experienced the first proper SeattleRain today. It was alright but wet. It rained a few days ago however I wasn't outdoors so I didn't get wet. Today I got drenched though. Good thing I went to REI and got myself a proper rain and wind jacket...ON SALE! I found another jacket in Universityvillage the other day but it wasn't on sale. Even though I did like it a little more. Got to think of the economy, right? So I walked over to this new gym that I wanted to try out that takes ca.15min to walk to and it's called the YMCA (no gay affiliations apparently) but it was closed. Why you ask? Because it's Labour Day, duh! Which I have continuously have forgotten about all day and all weekend. The host family didn't really make any plans today. Another example of how forgetful we have been today is that we thought that Helen ( Area Director for APC) was coming by to meet me and the family tonight. So at the dinner table 15minutes after she was supposed to arrive, Lauren had another look in the calender and saw that she isn't supposed to be here until wednesday 19:00. I guess it has not only been me having to think about a lot of things, but also my host-parents.
I was offered by the host-parents to come with them to Hawaii for a week in february. I actually declined it. yet again you ask WHY???!!!??? Well, I am taking a week off (roughly a week) in november to go to NYC and Albany for thanksgiving and to meet Dad and Linda for dinner one day. But I would like to have a week off where I do not travel with my host-family. So hopefully, by mid february I will have made plans either on my own or with friends to go somewhere. They were going to book the flights tonight, but Jordan said that I could probably tag along if i gave them an answer the coming week or so. I'll have to give it some thought.
Oh! I am going Vancouver in october! For a long weekend hopefully. Both to meet some friends that live there but also because the au pair group is going there that same weekend. So I was thinking I'd go a little earlier during the week to hang out with my friends and then sat-sun with the au pair group. I have to talk to Helen the area director about this to make sure that that works out with traveling arrangements.
Last day of summer holidays for the children tomorrow so we want to make sure that they end it with a bang and a smile! =) The zoo seems to be the most exciting thing however, the PacificScienceCenter that is placed near the SpaceNeedle is an option as well. Whatever the children and I decide upon, I will make my best to make sure that they'll remember it and tell about the experience at school! That is a promise.
All the best!

ps. I got tiny bit upset today because they actually call Gravadlax gravadlox! So me and Dhara ended up in a dispute because I didn't understand her and what it was that she wanted on her bagel. I kept on saying that locks would not be the best thing to have on her bagel, but ham or turkey would be more appropriate. She insisted on having lox! Finally Jordan came to the rescue and saved the mood for the snack time. Also he explained that americans don't speak swedish terribly well and that they would try to adjust their accents so we wouldn't have to go through something as devastating as this again =)
Vill du ha fred, rusta for krig
Saturday afternoon here in Seattle and the weekend has come a long way already. Already on thursday did I finally leave the comfort of the crib and go on a journey downtown and to Queen Anne. Took the bus from the stop a 5minute walk from the house which takes roughly 20minutes to get to the central blocks. Walked around for a bit and went shopping of course! It's awesome =) Coffein addict and a shoppaholic...all I need is my own reality show on MTV and the american dream will be fulfilled!
Had spoken to Sofia about meeting up and having sushi with her, Madde and some other people. So I took the bus over to Queen Anne and met up with them and a bunch of Canadians that are here studying. Good times!
Friday, Lauren (host-mother) suggests that I take the kids and head on down to town and the area around the SpaceNeedle. I would have had pictures of this however, I left the camera on after the last picture that I took on the bus so the batteries died after 1 photo of the Needle. Ill go back soon again though so Ill make sure that there will be some photos. We also took the Mono-Rail into WestlakeCentre where I bought new headphones. We really did have a wonderful day and the kids got along great. Well they fight as siblings do but, I have got some new tricks up my sleeves and learned how to keep them busy. Sort of anyway =)
Back home and hung out for a while before Jordan (host-father) got home and I ran like a speeding bullet over to the gym to break sweat. Then back home to get the after-shave on and polish that colgate smile and jump onto the bus again! Walk down 4th street to Pike St and get a "tall-soy-latte-to-go-please" at Starbucks. Meet with Sofia a little later, walk into PacificPlace, top-floor and eat some wok that was surprisingly good. I made sure to tip the waiter the 10% extra.
I woke up with a smile on my face and by the end of the day I fell a sleep with one to. Today I probably even woke up with a bigger smile though. Got up rather early at 9.30 and went down to the kitchen where I was offered HotCereals by Lauren. Slow walk to the gym and then back home to take the car to UniversityCity where I got a 100%fruit-sugarfree-dairyfree -smoothie and walked into the Apple store to have a look at some Ipods and especially the Iphone. I might get the Host-parents to pay half of it, as it would have to stay here with them after the year has ended. Hall tummarna for mig!! =)
There is so much more that I could tell you it's just that I am not really in the mood for it and I need to be able to express myself with my voice to have them sound a little more fun and interesting.
Carpe Diem!

It's true, they are very very nice

We went to Madrona park and on the way back home we met these firemen, so we asked if we could take a photo with them. They let us =)
Kids on the move
